I was thirteen years old when I first picked up a camera. It was a hot pink Kodak that goes for thirty dollars nowadays. (I’ve come a long way!)

I quickly became captivated by the stories that I could tell with my camera. I loved capturing memories with friends and family and transforming them into photographs or short films. Whether I was directing, producing, or editing, I thrived behind the scenes. But even as a teenager, I knew that this was more than a hobby—it was a gift that I would one day pursue. Over time, I learned how to bring my visions to life. I photographed friends, learned how to use Photoshop, and spent countless nights on the internet studying the mechanics of cameras and the art of photo editing.

For more than a decade, I have balanced my love of photography with my passion for childcare. I now have more than ten years of experience working with children in various roles—as an elementary school intern, a teaching assistant, a preschool teacher, and a private nanny. As you can imagine, I don’t mind being silly behind the camera to get children to laugh!

My photography is the product of a decade of childcare experience, my gentle, nonjudgmental demeanor, and my eye for the subtle beauty in everyday life. My passion for capturing the subtleties in life and caring for others also shines through in my role behind the scenes. I strive to make every person I photograph feel safe and comfortable in their own skin. As a queer, gender-nonconforming photographer, I know how important it is to feel welcome.
